Still Alive!
Feb. 13th, 2005 01:44 pmYeah, I'm doing pretty well.
Having some odd timing/personality issues in a monthly campaign that I've been running for a while. I think it's settling down, although we're losing a player, maybe two, over it. It's a shame, but I think the game might be a little more fun. Not because losing person X makes it more fun, but because the group is a bit over-powered and a smaller group would have more of a challenge.
I was a very bad DM and gave people too much access to magic items. *sigh* Well, I've learned my lesson now.
That said, Tammy and I had fun Friday night. We got a room at a nice small hotel downtown, the 'Hotel Monaco', and stayed the night as a Valentine's day treat. It was lovely - we went out for dinner at their nice (but expensive) restaurant, and then wandered off for some coffee while we considered going to a movie. Instead we ended up reading magazines and books (over coffee) at the Barnes & Nobles, and then headed back to bed.
Saturday morning we wandered down to Dixon's, a lovely little place for breakfast, brunched, and then spent an hour in the Tattered Cover, next door. Mmm... found a fun book on Origami, and one of those 'fold a day' calendars for only ten bucks. Yay!
It's nice to relax. Genghis Con next weekend. Will be very busy.
