Well, Mom's gone. I sent her off yesterday morning, took my car to get the starter replaced, and then basically spent the rest of the day moping a little over the let down and feeling a bit tired.

Mom had me pretty busy while she was here... so suddenly it was a combination of being a little tired and not having any more fun things to do. :) But I seem to be over that now.

On Sunday we went for a really nice trip up into the mountains. We tried to follow US 40 at first, but near Denver US 40 keeps disappearing into I-70. Eventually it branches off after Idaho Springs, and we followed that up north for a while and then turned south on Co 9 to return to I-70 and home. We all enjoyed that trip - very nice, and parts of the state that I hadn't seen before.

I also learned a little about my great grandfather John Gerry Worth, who I intend to research - we really don't know a lot about him.

Monday my Mom and I went to see Chicago - the film, not the city. It was a really good film. Tammy was feeling poorly, so we picked up my friend JM and the three of us went to the Rockies baseball game that evening. It was a fun time, but since the game went into extra innings, we weren't able to stay around for the end of the game, which happened as we were driving home during the twelfth inning. (Rockies lost, 7-8)

I'm reading this fun book called 'Who's Who in Hell', which I picked up on a whim at the public library. By some odd coincidence, the author's name is covered up on both the spine and the front cover by Library stickers.
