Things to do this year

One thing I really do need to try to do this year is to try and be a little more social. I tend to be perfectly happy to be curled up in the corner with a book, or y computer, and just ignore the rest of the world... and that's not entirely healthy for me, or for my life in general. Even when I'm plugged into the internet I tend to do more listening than talking - here on livejournal I post once every two weeks or so, but I read my friend's list something like three times every two days... and more often on weekends.

As part of that, I really need to teach myself to learn people's names. I tend to forget names easily, and I shouldn't - I need to work at remembering them better. I can remember subtle intricacies of api interactions for work, I remember someone's bloody name...
