Jan. 7th, 2008 09:49 amHmmm, some updates...
1) At work, we're wrapping up work on the new Popular Science website. It's not live yet, but it's almost ready for prime time. That's really exciting.
2) Spent Saturday doing errands (bank, comics, wash car, buy new front door, buy rug). Yes, a new front door. We're going to get rid of the crappy one that came with the house, and replace it with something that does a better job of keeping out cold air.
3) Had trouble sleeping Saturday night, so Sunday was a blur of recovering from weird sleep and world of warcraft. I got my priest from 17 to 19, and also helped my wife with some quests in the evening. Tammy hadn't been playing for a while because of wrist pain that we associated with the computer use, but she's feeling better now, thank goodness.
4) And Dad called me up to ask me questions about wireless networking, which I was almost totally unhelpful about. He's got Windows 98 SE, for one, which I don't know how well it works, and a lot of the specifics of wireless networking I honestly just don't know... because for us it's always worked fine. Hopefully what I told him will help.
And I'm still learning ruby on rails. Mostly using this new beta 'Ruby on rails for php dudes' book that's still under development, which is written for Rails 2.0 and so works well with the updated system.
