Laptop annoyance

Ugh. Dragging out my laptop for a look, I discovered that the darn thing's power supply cord had bent too often in the same place, right up next to the brick, and now the wire only works if you hold it in place, and the wire is exposed. Dang.

Luckily, ebay let me find a replacement pretty quickly, and it should arrive later this week. It's still annoying, though. Is there an easy way to prevent the wire bending up against the brick all the time when it's being carried around?
