That blows. I've been robbed once, but my home wasn't broken into. A babysitter that we thought we had screened well, turned out to be a kleptomaniac who stole things to pay for her heroin addiction.
Needless to say, she did not stay in our employ for long. And hubby replaced my copy of Interview with a Vampire. We still need to replace The Patriot and I think one other that the title is escaping me at the moment.
This may be stupid question, but you did file police report right? Hope the stuff gets back to you.
When did this happen? What a drag! I don't have much crap left, but I don't think I want to lose it without making a choice. I think that's why I take my T4 to work with me every night. Someoen could steal my TV and I would be bummed, but my laptop has my life on it.
Which reminds me - time to run a full backup.
Anyway, sorry you went through that trauma. I've been robbed twice, both times in the early 1970s, and it sucked both times. I moved out of the neighborhood.
