Bicycles...
Jun. 26th, 2006 08:18 amSo, recently I've gotten the mad idea that I should try to bike to work. This would give me more exercise, help out with keeping gas low, and so forth. The only problem is that I don't know how to ride a bike.
Yeah... never learned. Never felt a need to before.
So, on Friday my wife and I headed out to a bike shop, and I looked at some of the options there. One that I liked, a 'Giant Suede', is differently built so that when the bike is adjusted properly for pedalling, it's also possible to put your feet flat on the ground - which makes falling over on it a lot less likely. I went out and tried riding it for a bit, although I didn't get too far. Farther than I expected.
So, probably going to end up buying it this week... scary scary.
