Why can't I sleep?
Jul. 22nd, 2002 09:02 pmI couldn't sleep again last night, not until about three in the morning. That is so annoying! I'm thinking I may need to get some over the counter sleep helpers.
On the other hand, I had a good change yesterday. I play a fair bit of 'Living Greyhawk', which is a Dungeons & Dragons campaign that is played across the country. It's a lot of fun, really. However, my wife isn't generally into RPGs, so she doesn't play. Unfortunately, that means that when I do want to play, she's generally annoyed that I'm disappearing for four hours, or ten, or whatever, and she was thusly annoyed on Saturday because I had a pair of games for Sunday.
So, after some thought, I called up Bruce (the GM for the games), and asked him if there was room for one more. There was, and so I suggested to Tammy that she come along and give it a try. We worked together to make her a Paladin character, and the next day we drove out and gamed together.
It worked splendidly. She had a lot of fun, her Paladin made it to second level, and now she's going to be able to play when I'm interested in playing. A possible thorny problem with the relationship, taken care of by sharing. *grin*

Date: 2002-07-24 01:08 am (UTC)You and me, we got quite a few things in common. I love anime, I love writing, I love fantasy, science fiction, and I live 20 minutes from Denver. In fact, Im half a mile from the tech center.
I am currently writing a fantasy trilogy called Dark Hunters. If you look at my profile, you might see why we have so much in common. Would you mind if I added you to my friends list?
Nice to come across your LJ. And maybe i'll see you around?
Oh and i'll make a special appearence at Nan Desu Kan trying to make a name for myself, and my anime music video making career. Maybe i'll stop by at the fanfic department.
