Small note: French men shake your hand as they say good morning to you. This is a little shocking to us fragile Americans, who are used to waving to each other in greeting.
At the beginning of the year, I started working at a new company, MeetingOne. It's an interesting company, in part because they have offices in Montpellier, France (where I am now), and Brussels, Belgium. Montpellier is where most of the developers are, as they are in a couple companies that MOne bought.
My purpose is to take over the billing programs, thus allowing the billing programmer to work with the other programmers on our next big release. (This is useful because, being in Denver, I am right there with the major users of the billing software.) So, I am in France for two weeks to learn from the programmers here on how things work. And learning much.
