And so we're committed...
Mar. 29th, 2004 08:35 amWent out yesterday, exercised again at 24 hour fitness, and decided to commit to it. So we're members now, with at least 15 months paid. It's so much a better deal than we had at Colorado Athletic Club that it's not even funny - on a per-month basis we're effectively paying $53/month for the first 15 months, and then after that we'll be paying something like $16/month. CAC? $120/month.
Bleh.
So, that's good. Had a fun time in my Buffy game, finally finishing the Edmund Fitzgerald storyline, which had a very good payoff. But it got a bit nail-bitey at the end.
On other news, I've picked up a book on MUD Game Programming. Not programming *inside* of a mud, but actually rolling your own muds. It's a great book so far - it's got a good couple chapters on socket programming as well as a good one on multitasking... which is required because socket programming involves blocking function, which would otherwise stop the entire mud to wait for someone to do something. It's all written for C++, but I don't think I'll have much trouble porting it to C#.
Hopefully I'll hear back soon on the job interview a week ago - Ohh... hope I got in. :)
