A productive day
Mar. 25th, 2004 08:50 amWell, yesterday was pretty productive. In the morning I did job searching - updated my resumes on Monster and the like, sent out my resume, etc. At noon I took off and got in some exercise for an hour or so, which was followed up by studying C# at the Borders with some sugar-free coffee.
Really, if it wasn't for the fact that unemployment only lasts until the end of June, I could get used to the lifestyle. :)
I've come up with ideas for a few minor apps to write up in C#. They'd be useful, which is good, and they'd be good practice. One's a small ap to keep track of job contacts - something I've got to do anyway. The other's a way to keep track of notes - I constantly find myself having small amounts of text (1K) that I need to keep track of - but thousands of little files gets ridiculous. It'd be nice to have some way to store these in a searchable format. I think those would be fun.
And I've been learning Perl too. It's a fun little language, although I've taken a break to try and catch up on the C# that I'm behind on because of losing last week to the crud.

Re: "Learning Perl" for learning Perl?
Date: 2004-03-27 04:49 pm (UTC)As for why - it's what I have on hand, and it was free. So far, it's done a nice job.
Sorry.
