Four years and counting.
Oct. 23rd, 2003 09:19 amToday is the fourth wedding anniversary for Tammy and me. I'm pretty darn happy about that. Plans are to go out to a Fondue restaurant tonight, using last year's Entertainment 2003 book before it expires at the end of the month. Half-price Fondue is good. :)
The roleplaying book situation is coming along swimmingly. It looks strongly like I'll actually be writing two books - one rules, one setting - and I've got a huge positive feeling about it too. Ideas are just *flowing*, and I'm carrying around a notebook which I keep updating with more of them. This is a good sign.
But first - research. As such I went to netflix.com the other night and front-queued all the fantasy anime I could find on their site - which was really quite a lot. Some of them have already arrived. If Mile High Con wasn't this weekend, I'd be spending it in an orgy of animated bliss. As it is, I'll probably not be spending very much time on the computer for the next month.
Tammy's not terribly upset about that. :)

Date: 2003-10-24 05:00 am (UTC)I hope you enjoy your convention this weekemd. I'm scheduled to go to a convention mysekf in three weeks (although work might interfere -- not the game company kind, the kidnt hat puts food on the table and rent money in my landlord's bank account).
I hope you're going to enjoy watching all that anime. My personal favorite fantasy anime is "Slayers NEXT", with the so-new-it-hasn't-come-to-America-yet series "Scrapped Princess" (imagine if you were the innocent center of an apocalyptic prohpecy and everybody in the world knew about it -- and wanted you dead even though you ahve done absolutely nothing wrong and have no inention of doing harm to anybody.....) a close second. "Scrapped princess" raises heart-wrenching moral and ethical dilemmas you don;t often find in entertainment media in general, not just anime, and the fantasy forum is a perfect way to explore them. What would you do if everyone told you YOU were the Anti-Christ?
