Roleplaying notes.
Aug. 6th, 2003 07:12 amWell, my Call of Cthulhu game is going... well enough, but it's hitting a few rocky spots. I got everyone together and back following the punitive plotline... but now one of the characters (Buster the burglar) is off doing things on his own. That's unfortunate, but in CoC that's usually a self-correcting problem. :) Unfortunately, one of my other players has had to drop out for medical reasons - he's not allowed to drive for a while. That's a real shame right now, because another of my players is having a busy time (not uncommon in the summer) and probably won't be showing up for a few weeks himself. We'll just have to see how that goes.
On other roleplaying notes, I got my new D&D books in the mail last night. Back at BenCon - a convention from charity - I won them in an auction, along with a set of player reward cards and the chance to play the first Legacy of the Green Regent game. The game was fantastic - mostly it was the really good roleplayers bidding high - and the cards are nifty, but even forgetting those two I got the books at a petty good discount, and donated money to charity. Everyone wins!
I need to get moving, too. There's another convention at the end of this month, and I have two adventures I need to write for it. One's a BESM (or possibly Tri-Stat Dx) game that I've got loosely plotted out. It's set in a steampunk 1920's, and I'm having all sorts of fun with it. The other's a Buffy the Vampire Slayer one-shot that I need to write, but at least the characters are allready done.
Work, work work... but it's rewarding.

Any chance one of the other players could pick him up on the way to the game? Transportational issues are a real bummer.
The last... 3 game sessions for the GURPS epic fantasy campaign I run have been cancelled due to players not being able to show up. I'm getting very, very discouraged, especially as we sorta made an agreement at the beginning of the campaign that this was going to have high priority as we were only playing once a month and have one player who has to schedule far in advance, as he's coming from Dayton, OH, to Indy to play.
