Well, this week I didn't hit the magic '75 pounds lost' point - instead, I backslid about a pound or so. It's not a huge surprise - Tuesday night I was feeling a little, oh, out of it and treated myself to some chicken strips, and then Wednesday I made the mistake of buying some sugar-free toffies and eating half the bag, and then on Thursday I went ahead and finished it. So I haven't been nearly as good as I really should be. One of those would probably have been alright, but I think all three of them together stopped my progress.
So this week I'm refocusing on how much I'm eating. I'm going to take fewer snacks to work, and focus on making sure I eat my allotment of fruit and vegitables each day. I'm also planning on doing some walking during lunch on the days when I'm not already excersizing in the morning - not so much because I can't take a little extra work on those days, but because I usually only take half an hour for lunch then, and there's not enough time.
I'd really like to have lost 100 pounds by mid-October, and I can't do that unless I'm losing weight every week.
On other news, Tammy and I are looking into a Living Greyhawk multi-region convention that's coming up in August in Las Vegas. Tammy loves going to LV, and I enjoy it too, although last time I found myself wishing I had a laptop to do some writing on. I don't have one yet, but I figure with LG to play, I'll be busy enough that it won't matter. I don't know if we can afford it - money's a bit tight with the Kitchen renovation - but it would be a lot of fun.
Speaking of the kitchen, we have our new countertops in, and they look nice. Don't quite meet up with our crazy plaster and/or wainscotting on the walls, but I figure that'll give Tammy some fun to come up with a tile backsplash to cover it. Now we wait until Monday when the plumber comes back to hook up the sink and dishwasher, and then we've got a functioning kitchen again. At last!
