Hi all.

Yeah, it's been a while since I last updated.

I had a good time for the rest of my vacation. I played a few Living Greyhawk games, and then had the first session of a monthly D&D campaign based on 'Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil'. A guy I know named Steve wanted to play through that, and I volenteered to run it. We've got a bunch of adult players together, and we're going to play once a day each month, for about six hours each. I don't know if we'll finish such a long campaign - I expect it'll take a few years to finish - but we had so much fun in the first session that I'm not worried about completion - just about fun.

Getting back to work after so long a vacation was a little rocky at first. It took me a little while to get used to doing a job again, and I'll admit I looked rather longingly at that big Powerball jackpot. We had a ticket for the drawing, but all we got out of it was $3... out of a $5 ticket. Oh, well... Is it too much to ask, to not have to work anymore? Apparently it is.

Our Kitchen is coming along quite nicely. My wife has finished retiling parts of the floor that had never been tiled before. She wasn't able to find any more tile that matched what we had, so in addition to the leftover tile that was left behind by whoever did most of the floor, she added some large tiles of the same thickness (to cover the area under the dishwasher, which has to be level) and some interesting stone-like tiles that she used to fill in the gaps. It really looks nice. Today we're having our countertop installed - I'm really looking forward to that.

On the weight-loss front I've had a couple of good weeks, and I'm now standing at 74.6 pounds lost. I'm hoping tomorrow I'll lose that last little bit and be able to state that I've lost 75 pounds - this is a nice level to reach, both because I get a nice new magnet from Weight Watchers to go with my other ones, but also because it's only a scant 15 pounds from 90 - which is my halfway point. It's also two of those huge 38.5 pound dogfood bags - when I go shopping I stop and look at them, and imagine carrying around two of those whereever I go. Amazing. (what's even more amazing is I have almost three more of those to lose.)

Life is good. Hope yours is too.

Yay!

Congrats on the 75! Yes, 75 cause I'm sure that's where you're going to be when you read this :-)

Glad to see you back on LJ - I know I've missed seeing your posts.
