Well, it was a short week for myself, and I made it shorter. I used a couple of vacation days to take Wednesday and Thursday off, and I've had a nice relaxing couple of days. The weather here in Denver has cooperated, being hot but not too hot. As an added bonus my wife is currently working 6am to noon, so I got to spend half of yesterday with her, and all of today. (Thursday's part of her split weekend.)

Went to the athletic club today, and had a good workout with Tammy. We took it easy, going in at 10, and working out for an hour. It felt really good, and afterwards when I went in to weigh myself after my shower I discovered that I was weighing 299.5 or so. This was fantastic, because this is probably the first time I've weighed less than 300 pounds in a decade or so. It's not my official Weight Watchers weight, which I have at the end of the day. But it's still very promising.

After that we went to the China King buffet - we've learned that we can eat there on a diet as long as the first plate is salad! I stuffed myself on veggies and then had a second plate of various chicken things. It was necessary to fill up because after lunch we went off to give blood.

Tammy and I are regular blood donors, and we've already passed our first gallon. I had them prick my finger, check my pulse, and my blood pressure, and they were all in good shape - I was 108/70 or so on the BP, and that's excellent for a guy around 300 pounds.

After that we tried to go see Bulletproof Monk, but the hours at the theatre were all wrong. We ducked into Bed, Bath and Beyond to try to find a mail organizer, but only got Altoids sour candies instead. We then ducked into the Office Max and found one there. After that we dropped in on the Old Friends Bookstore, whose owner Keith had just had a baby boy. We chatted a bit - his kid had prevented him from attending the CoC game last night - and I noticed an old Doc Savage and picked it up with a bunch of horse young adult fiction Tammy wanted.

Tonight we headed off to Weight Watchers. My official weight was 309 pounds, which was 4 pounds lighter than last week! Fantastic! It also pushed me past the 50 pounds lost milestone, for which I got a different magnet than the one I got for 25 pounds. I wonder if there's one for 75 pounds?

In any case, I'm very pleased with myself. Next milestone is my official WW weight going under 300... maybe in a month?
