Vista: crime against nature?
Aug. 25th, 2007 03:33 pmUgh. I think I lost an entire day's work and then some to Vista - I needed it to work a particular way, it wouldn't... and the same behavior didn't show up on other versions of Windows.
So... nothing to do but to install Ubuntu on a dual-boot... which wouldn't have been so bad, but I installed the 64-bit version of it, and it turns out that Skype doesn't have a 64-bit version of their Linux code. *sigh* So, I had to go through some gyrations to get it to work, finally managing it, which is good because at work they use Skype to talk back and forth to each other.
Oh, well. Finally got that to work, then got everything else I needed installed and running, and now I"m much happier playing around in an environment that makes sense.
