Well, today my W2 finally arrived. Tammy quickly opened it and compared it to the figures she'd been estimating before, and there's good news - instead of owing ~$400, it looks like they're going to pay us back ~$1000! That's fantastic news for us.

More good monitary news is that we've arranged to get a home equity loan. It's not a lot, but it's enough to cover both of our credit cards and both of the cars. The interest rate is low (6.375%), and the monthly payment is loads less than our various payments currently. This will allow us to make ends meet with Unemployment and Tammy's paycheck.

And finally, the items I've been selling on eBay did fairly well, and I've started sending them off. We went by Office Max and picked up a ton of supplies for shipping - padded envelopes, address labels, sealing tape, and the like. While there we saw they had some media shelving for free (with rebate) which we got some of, and a 64MB USB portable drive for $10 after rebates.. so we picked them up too. The USB drive is cool - I've got a bigger one that's 20 Gig, but this little one is good for transferring files when the network is down. It's also solid state instead of being hard drive based, so it's more portable. Currently I'm using it to back up the roleplaying game book I'm writing.

So, things are doing about as well as they can be. I'm judging all nine slots at Genghis Con in two weeks, and so I'm getting a free hotel room! Woot! I just hope we don't get broken into while we're gone again. (If I knew I'd get a free room, I'd have done this last year!)

I'm again putting more RPG, Card, and other items up for auction, so I'm going to repeat the link to my ebay page.

(Oh, and big warm hug of thanks to my In-Laws, who were very cool and sent us some black and color ink cartriges for our printer! We love you!)
