This is going to be a bit geeky, and if you don't play D&D or Neverwinter nights, it'll probably be a bit boring. It probably will still be a bit boring anyway.

I'm having fun with Neverwinter nights. I'm in the second (of four) chapter, and my rogue/sorcerer is really kicking butt. I've got a ton of gold (from finding and selling a bunch of staffs and the like), but have run out of places to spend it on! If anyone else is familiar with NWN Chapter 2 and where stuff can be bought, please let me know. I've already got an AC of about 27 from Shadow Legion Armor, Boots +2 that increase my Con and Dodge bonus, a Dex of 21, Ring of Protection +2 and an Amulet of Natural Armor +2. There's really not any +2 weapons to be bought, although I've found a few.

I've been lucky enough to find a Heavy crossbow of Accuracy (+5 bonus! Woo!) A couple of Sling +2, and just recovered a Mace +2, which was nice as I was using a +1 mace in my off hand. (Found a gauntlet that gave me a bonus to Dicipline and the Ambidexterity feat.) I haven't found a +2 rapier yet (which is my main weapon - even took Weapon Finesse so I could use my dex bonus to hit), but since my current Rapier occasionally casts Daze on people I hit with it I'm plenty happy with it for now.

I suppose what I really need is the hint book. :)

Neverwinter Nights: It's good for the geek in you.

Well, the big lifestyle change is still going well. On Monday both Tammy and I had a meeting with our personal trainer, Matt. (We got a free session as part of the sign-up for the athletic club.) He put me through my paces of doing a number of different cardivascular and anaerobic excersizes, which in WW terms got me a bunch of bonus points to spend.

So I splurged, as yesterday was a day off, by going to an all-you-can-eat Chinese food place that we like. I was pretty good, too: My first plate was all salad. My second plate was a collection of (non-fried) food, and by the time I started thinking about a third plate I felt full from all of the salad. It's not a trip I should take every day, but between the excersize and the points I can save up from day to day it's a viable treat or break from the normal.

Very nummy.

I've changed my work schedule - I'm now working 9-6 on MWF, so I can get up extra-early and go in with my wife to excercize in the morning. Matt says we're more likely to excercize if we do it in the mornings, so we'll try that. I'm hoping the combination of this with WW will help me lose weight a little faster - I'm looking forward to hitting the 10% goal that WW set for me when I started.
