Well, my trip to Weight Watchers last night resultsed in me losing another two pounds. That my not sound like a lot compared to what I've lost in previous weeks, but the WW program actually prefers you to lose weight slowly and learn how to keep it off, rather than lose a big chunk of pounds and then gain them right back.

Tammy lost 1.8, which means that she's now lost over ten pounds.

I've lost a little over 10% of my total goal, which is a good start. Next I'm working towards 10% of what I started with, 36 pounds. WW says studies have shown that losing 10% of your weight results in major benefits, and so they use that as an interim goal. I'll probably be able to lose the rest of the goal in about eight weeks, which will be more or less in time for our trip to Las Vegas.

Our entire family's going, and it'll be a real treat to show off how much I've lost since they saw me at Christmas. I don't know how noticeable it will be, but both of us have noticed our clothes being a little looser - when I first got my new belt at xmas I could use the first or second hole, but now I find I can sometimes use the third.

I'm still overweight. But I can see that what I'm doing really is making me lose weight, and the program really isn't very onerous.

On other news - New Harry Potter in June! Given the huge size, the hardcover volume will probably weigh as much as I've lost from WW by then. *laugh*

Have a good weekend. (It's a long one for me. Woo!)

I so can't wait til June. Our local news actually was the first place I heard the release date, the other night. June 21st, yeah baby!! And supposedly its 1/3 bigger than book 4. Thats just INSANE. Awesome that JK Rowling is managing to get kids averaging about 9 years old reading these MASSIVE tomes, but still. If you get it hardback, forget about carrying it anywhere with you, its hard enough for paperbacks. *grin*

BTW I know you from Saint Tail email list, in case you are wondering.
