jcfialaWell, I was going to write a similarly-long missive on our drive to Maryland (long, and rain-soaked), my second Christmas with my immediate family (which was blessed with a few inches of snow), and my third Christmas with my Uncles and Aunts and such (which was delayed to the 26th because of said snow). Much loot was gained (I've got about a foot, foot and a half of DVDs to watch.
One fun bit - I've got a young cousin Allison who I had wanted to give a Barbie Rapunzel to, but wasn't able to find one. So I got Rapunzel's unicorn, on the general reality that All Girls Like Horses. Well, it turns out that my brother Bill gave Allison the Rapunzel, so it really worked out! (James also gave her some Rapunzel accessory too, but I'm not sure which one.)
But things are going really well. I don't remember if I mentioned it before, but I'm doing Weight Watchers with my wife. Last Thursday was the end of the fourth week, and I'd lost 4.6 pounds. Tammy lost a whole pound. So far, in four weeks, I've lost 17.4 pounds, which is *huge*. They want me to lose almost 180 pounds total, so I'm going to be at this for a year or two, but the fact that I'm actually for-real losing weight on this diet has me flipping for joy.
