The Incredible Shrinking John?

Sorry for the long stretch without any notes, but it's been busy, and not busy.
For one, it's been busy with Christmas and all. Got to find gifts, buy them, and get them ready to travel to the east coast, because that's where we're spending xmas this year. We're going to try to spend half of a week in North Carolina, and the rest of it in Maryland. We'll just have to see how well that works.
For another, the weekend after my last entry I got a nasty stomach flu. Scratch one weekend, and Monday.
Hmm...
The title of this piece refers to the fact that I and Tammy (my wife, for those just tuning in) are starting to attend Weight Watchers. Today's the first day of our dieting, and so far it's going very well. However, I'm not sure if I'm willing to eat many more of these 2-point snack bars that WW makes. Bleh. I've heard a rumor that the Kudo bars are low in points - I need to check that out.
Currently Tammy and I have a number of different things bagged up in serving sizes for us to more easily eat. I think it's going to go very well. The real test is going to be Christmas, but WW allows you to 'save up' unused points for a future splurge. So, if I spend the week before xmas eating less than my maximum, I can eat a bunch more on the big day.
On other notes, my adventure 'Emergency Response', is going to be printed in January instead of this month. Darn. But it's still going to happen.
I've started writing again, which feels good. I've finished a story that I still only think of as 'John/Sherry/John', which is on my nexus website here. I'm also starting what's called 'A Nexus Christmas Carol', based on Dickens's original and a half-remembered Ghostbusters cartoon episode. So far I'm really happy with how it's coming out, both in terms of quality and in terms of constantly getting something written.
And I'm starting to think about this anthology of superhero stories that Guardians of Order is planning to do. The deadline's back in March, but I think I'll bring along my palm and see what I can come up with while I'm on vacation. That is, if I ever find the farging keyboard. Maybe I should troll ebay to see if I can find one cheap now that handspring doesn't make visors...
