Roleplaying updates
Jul. 12th, 2007 09:36 amSo, last week I killed my wife.
It wasn't in-character, thank goodness - as the DM of our weekly D&D game, the group was in it's second fight with a bugbear vampire (thank you, 3rd edition), and although the first fight with the vamp had ended with him fleeing, this time he was being much more careful and strategic... which ended up with two characters dying, although one of them wasn't killed by the bad guys.
It was a bit of a shock to the group, losing half the characters, but it's let my wife work on a new character that's a little further out of her comfort zone (a Dragon Shaman), and it lead to a night containing more roleplaying than we sometimes have in the group, which was cool.
But I'm glad she took it so well. :)

Date: 2007-07-12 06:09 pm (UTC)I was pretty happy with how she seemed to take it... I think playing WoW maybe helped a little... but I think she was also a little bored with her character. She tends to play druids a lot, because she likes having a pet in the game, but I think she's a little tired of them now.
