Teeth are fixed
May. 10th, 2007 08:32 amWell, I took the day off yesterday and went in to the dentist to get a root canal, and then to get my permanent bridge installed on top of it. I'm already feeling much better and more cheerful, and it's a little amusing to note that today is one month from when the problem started and a big chunk of that tooth broke off at my Denver Boardgames Meetup.
But boy, it's weird - the bridge is, I guess, porcelain, and so it's much smoother to my tongue than my natural teeth or the temporary bridge. (Weirdness #2? Being told how to floss 'underneath' the bridge - since the bridge sits atop my gums there with nothing fastening it, food can get stuck there. That'll take getting used to.)
