So, this morning two things happened.

1) My wife called and told me she was in the hospital for appendicitis and they were going to operate on her momentarily.
2) Terrorists decided to make this yet another interesting travel day.

Ugh. I've been flying all day. As I got ready this morning, my mom got my schedule switched around so that I would be flying home instead of to Gen Con. And then I flew on the way home, tossing out my toothpaste and deodorant so that I didn't have to deal with checking my luggage.

She's fine - she's recovering from the surgery right now. But I'm tired of having such an interesting life.

Holy mackrel! Is there anything we should be doing?

Not really. She'll be getting out of the hospital tomorrow. She's doing fairly well, all things considered, and is already out of surgery.

If anyone knows where I could lay my hands on an air mattress temporarily, that might be useful - otherwise I'll just wrestle one off the guest bed and drag it downstairs for her. Otherwise, I think we're mostly all right, just stressed.

Speedy recovery for both your wife and your own sanity.

And... now I've got an Air Mattress, so I'm pretty much fine. I went back to visit her in the hospital, and she's already looking a lot more like herself. So, I suspect I'll be bringing her home tomorrow.

Wish me a safe flight back to the US. We leave on Sunday midnight.

I'm glad your wife is recovering.

Well, I hope your flight is safe. I expect it will be - you're more likely to be hit by lightning than to get killed by a terrorist, I suspect.

Yipe! Glad she's doing okay!

And sorry RN and I missed you at GenCon but then again, if we were going, we would have only been there Saturday and this year we're not able to make it due to family commitments. (*shakes fist* Next Year, IgorBars! Next Year!)

*nonhurting hugs*

I hope that doesn't happen, either. o_o;

Best wishes to the missus, John! I hope she's feeling better soon!

And I'm sorry about not being able to see you at GenCon, either. :( I'm definitely hoping to try again next year as well.

Yowsers! I didn't get to read this until I read your later stuff, but it's amazing, since Tammy has already given me one ride to a hospital for irradiation!

I'm glad she made it through and I'm glad she's home and resting.
