Well, it's been a fun couple of days.

I finished the Harry Potter book. I liked it - lots of interesting things going on, and some lovely bits with the Weasley Twins. Harry is obviously showing that guys don't quite pick up how to deal with girls automatically - he basically needs Hermione to interpret for him, and obviously she can't be there always. And the main plot with Valdemort comes along nicely.

But once I got that finished, I had something even more fun to prepare for - my Mother is doing another cross-country trip to visit her sons. My brother Bill in Las Angeles was first this time, but starting on Wednesday she showed up here.

It's been a lot of fun - on Wednesday we went to see 'Finding Nemo' (A really good movie). On Thursday we went to Elich Gardens, a local amusement park. On Friday we did some errands and then that evening went to 42nd Street. (That went well except for the bit where I misplaced the car.) Saturday we went to go see Charlies Angels 2 (see it on video if you must) and I also went about doing some Garage Saling. (What was really fun was one gentleman who was selling off a bunch of recent indie comics for 10 cents an issue. I went through his comics while we chatted together.)

Today we're looking to go up into the mountains for a day. I don't often go up into them for any reason other than work, really, so this should be fun.

My mom's a lot of fun. :)
