Well, NDK 2007 was a lot of fun! But boy, are my feet hurting - I was on my feet a lot.
This year, rather than working in Registration like I have since year 3, I was pulled into a new department: a con suite for staff, to keep them hydrated and fed with decent food. It went off really good for a first year, and many staff got a chance to not only eat, but also to take a short break and relax a little. That was great.
My wife, Tammy, also was busy selling jewelry. One of the artist alley/comic market people had backed out a week or so before the convention, and my wife grabbed oen of the booths, and shared it with her friend, Grace. They both make jewelry, Tammy out of beads, and Grace out of wire/chainmail, and they both did really well during the convention. That was cool too.
I was really good at not spending too much during the convention, which made me feel good, and I got to see some really stellar music videos, even if for most of them I'd never heard the music. But that was fun, although I wasn't able to stay and watch every one.
So - fun times, no financial crisis, and all. Good con.
