Apparently, I'm very fond of lazy. Ah, well.

Gave platelets on Saturday, then knocked around town a bit before heading home. I took my ROD box set (the one that looks like it's a book) with me to bonfils, and watched five episodes while I was stuck in the chair with blood gushing out of my arm - it really revived my interest in the series, and continued watching it for the rest of the day, getting all the way past the mid-point of the series until I finished the episode named 'Farenheit 451'.

I skipped Genghiscon, which was all this weekend, due to my dislike of the DGA and the way they're treating me, but my wife Tammy went. Or she tried to - she went Thursday night, and was planning to go all day on Saturday, but once again that hotel has strange gas problems that caused her to have to leave. In this case, apparently some trick of the ventilation was causing outside cigarette smoke to waft into the boardgame area - something she can't stand because of allergies. She complained, but it just started up again, so rather than spend the rest of the day complaining she just came home.

Sunday was similar - she watched some movies on TV and rested up, still trying to shake that cold she's been having, while I went on a minor rampage in the back room, putting away and throwing out various junk that's been resting there since I got laid off from CSS in 2003. :) Among other things, I found a picture of my desk, which really showed me how much junk I had on my desk back then. Ah, well.

Today Tammy's at work. The cleaners showed up at 8, which was a bit of a relief, so I went off and got a bagel and some coffee whie they worked, and read up on more of the Shackled City. After that I came home, started doing some computer updates on Tammy's laptop, and chatted with folks. After some lunch with Tammy, I'm back again, planning to learn some about a PHP framework called Code Igniter. Yay fun!

I feel really well-rested and ready for the last, short, frantic week at work before I fly off to Montpelier France for two weeks of working.
