New Year's
Jan. 2nd, 2007 09:55 amHi all. Hope you're all having a good New Year so far.
Mine's went well. After another blast of freakin' snow onto Denver last Thursday night, I got to stay home again on Friday and had a four day weekend of it. Saturday was nice, with making sugar cookies and then going to a holiday party with some friends - felt a little more like Christmas than the actual holiday, really. After that on the next day it was off to my Boardgames meetup - which got evicted from our usual digs at Atlanta Bread Company because they were closing early. We resettled across the street at the Wild Oats, which actually worked out very nicely. Got to try out 'Ra', and had a good time of it.
After that we headed off to my friend Sherry's house with her friends, which was a fun night of eating some really good chili and various chocolates with alcohol in them. A little Jenga, a little Robo Rally (actually rather a lot), and a nice view of the fireworks downtown.
Yesterday I basically washed my clothes and vegged out with the TV and the set of Doctor Who, season 1, that I got for xmas. Lovely.
