Well, D&D has been a big gift for me this year, which was a lovely thing.

It all started back at the beginning of December, when my birthday is, where I was told a friend was going to give/loan me a copy of 'World's Largest Dungeon'. If you haven't heard about it, it's this 800+ page campaign module that AEG created, and it costs $100 at full price. Having looked at it a little so far, it looks really interesting. But I couldn't afford that, so I went around saying that 'if someone bought it for me, I would run it' - and my friend Jeanne took me up on that. It's partially a loan because if it turns out I can't run it for her, she wants it back so someone else can run it - but I can live with that.

Then it was followed up by a big sale at one of my favorite game stores - Attactix! Big sale, 50% off of stuff, and I picked up 'Skull & Bones', 'Blackmoor', 'Sorcery & Steam', an issue of 'The Excellent Prismatic Spray', and because I picked up a certain amount of books, I got 'Trojan War' for free. :) I may have gotten another book that I've forgotten too.

Then both Fantasy Flight Games and Bastion Press had massive sales on their books. I told my wife about the first sale, and she passed it on to her Mom, who got me about four or five books, and then I spent some xmas money at Bastion to get their 'Out of the (black/green/blue)' sourcebooks and another book on magic that they do. (I've got Bastion's book on fantasy flight - part of my research for the Legends of the Floating Worlds project - and it's really good.)

And then I got some amazon Gift Certs, so I also ordered 'Arms & Armor (3.5)' from Bastion, and 'The Book of Iron Might' from Malhalvoc. Sweetness.

So, I've got a ton of gaming books, so I don't need to buy anymore for a while. Right?

right?

Oh, dear.
