So, I've been quiet...
Aug. 14th, 2004 04:38 pm... just haven't felt like updating.
This weekend my Mom's visiting - which is nice. She's fun to hang out with, and we go around and do things... tomorrow we're thinking of going for a daytrip. Today she took Tammy and Trixii out for manicures and pedicures, and while they were enjoying feminine bliss, I took three longboxes of comics that I had failed to sell last weekend at my utter failure of a yard sale, and got a big pile of store credit for them at Mile High Comics. I then turned around and spent that on a pile of graphic novels. Mmm... Graphic novel goodness. Shame the store isn't better organized. It may be just that I'm used to the well-run Lakewood location, but the Thornton branch is just so big and sprawled out that I don't know how to find anything there.

After the mani/pedi-cures, it turns out Trixii managed to lock her keys in her car, but luckily we've got spares for her, so that's not a problem.
Work's going well. This week I got to learn how to install mySql and php, as well as phpbb, a free website forum that's used almost everywhere... largely because a) it works really well and b) it's free. #1 misconception I've run into about mySql: Yes, it does work on windows. Works quite well. I set up the program, created a database for the forum, and created a login for the forum software to use - without much trouble at all.
I feel major happy.
Additional bit of joy: had my employer send a team to my house to clean it - wow! That was nice. They did a great job and Tammy and I are considering having them come back regularly to clean us up. *happy*
Tacticon's coming along... well, it's coming along. It's smaller then Genghis, and I think I ordered too many RPGA modules. My mistake, and one that I'll fix next year. Meanwhile, I'll just keep working at getting the judges I need. I haven't made any fatal mistakes yet, so I'll just keep working at it.
