Interesting new Magazine - Player
Apr. 11th, 2004 09:00 pmWell, as part of my 'dig out of depression' project on Friday, I picked up a magazine I'd seen at B&N. It's called 'Player', and advertises itself as 'The Total Gambling Lifestyle Magazine'. I give it points for calling it 'Gambling' and not 'Gaming' - the latter is a cop-out phrase used by people who want to make Gambling sound safer.
It's a men's magazine, at base. They talk about Gambling, drinking, girls, Las Vegas, and Gambling. It features a number of articles on gambling strategy in the back, as well as a series of articles on the seven deadly sins - basically an excuse for a pictorial of sexy girls (but very clothed), some product reviews, an article about a chef, and more gambling. But it's interesting stuff.
It's published about six times a year, and I'm seriously considering a subscription.
