Cutting back on Credit Card debt
Aug. 17th, 2005 09:09 amWell, not much going on right now, other than the overwhelming pressure to get ready for Tacticon! Almost nothing at all, really. There is no stress!
Now that we've got that out of the way, Tammy and I are working on killing off our Credit Card debt. Between our trip to France (on business for me, pleasure for her), and our trip to Ocean City (the one where we lost our luggage, remember?), our credit card bills had crept up a bit uncomfortably high.
So, we've decided to cut back on our spending. Gas, Food, occasional dinners out, but we're not going to buy anything much else for ourselves. I hit the Library to pick up some GNs to read, for example. And, I figured I'd finally auction off some of the Netrunner cards that I had, still unopened. Bam! I was really surprised - they sold for much more than I expected. Which let me buy some treats for myself (Uresia supplements, the new Appleseed movie) and some for Tammy (Lois and Clark season 1, and a new beading program for her). For once, we're spending more on her hobbies.
But, we're doing well - going to kill off the smaller card's debt this month, and make a dent in the other one. And what did we get in the mail yesterday? Oh! Look! They raised our credit limits again, and sent us 'checks' in case we were having trouble using our credit cards. Thanks, guys!
